Besides a scientific programme approaching broad bioimaging topics, SPAOM meetings have a strong focus on workshops. Those can be from vendor’s or scientists and aim to foster knowledge sharing within the community, covering current trends and new applications about optical imaging, sample preparation or bioimage analysis.
In this year of great difficulties, the committee and the local organizers from the University of Valencia have strived to maintain SPAOM2020 in a virtual conference with a similar format to previous years, including invited and selected talks, posters, industry and community workshops and vendor’s exhibition. Participants will access, through mandatory but free registration, all sessions of the meetings through a video conference application that leads to a plenary session and parallel rooms. Community workshops, the signature session of SPAOM meetings, will be streamed by scientists from Home or from the Lab.
SPAOM Meetings, originally REMOA meetings, started in 2016 and now happen yearly, alternating between Spain and Portugal.
